i am familiar with networking jargon but i do not know how they work. Is there a possibility of creating a network simulation environment so that i can experiment with routers, hubs, switches and other network devices . Or can you reccomend a better way of learning about these devices. Also i d like to learn to design a network from scratch without needing to buy all these equipment.

Reply:I'd second the CCNA recommendation. A lot of the study guides come with router simulation software now, so you can even get some hands on experience.
