Networking between pcs and a laptop?

hi friends, i have a laptop and 5 pcs, i made sharing through laptop but it wont display the systems which r in network. but all my 5 pcs displays the laptop is in network. but i cant login to that laptop. please suggest me some tips to make networking between laptop and pcs....

First of all if the PC are working on windows 98 they wont show u the laptop which may be obviously working ona XP.





if you are using XP on the left side of the screeen u will have a option called veiw network computers that should work.





or u need to set the security levels of laptop so that it could be accessed.
Reply:First of all, all your computers should be connected to same Work Group / Domain. If through Work Group, then you should use the same user name and password on all the computers. You will be able to access all the computers.

Reply:I had the same problem as you. One computer can see the other, but the other can't see the one. Check the firewall. You need to make sure the IP addresses of the PCs and Laptops are in the trusted zone (if there is one, I know zone alarm needs this configured).
Reply:u forget to change the workgroup of ur laptop.


make all the pcs and laptop of one workgrop, it will work then
