can someone download on my network if i dont block with it with firewall.

Yes, technically they can.
If its an unprotected WiFi network then a firewall wont stop that either. Ecrypt the connection with a password.
Reply:yes your pretty much wide open. if you dont have a router that has a firewall in it, then download a free one like Zone Alarm or black ice or whatever its called.
most routers already have one in them, most people arent aware either, so check for that first.
