Networking via serial or parallel pot?

A friend has couple of modern computers which she has successfully networked.

She also have an ancient Pentium 1, which is in good working order and which she also wants to network.

The machine has no USB or network port.

Essentially three questions:

Can I retro fit a USB or Network card to this computer?

If not, then are there networking possibilities with the serial or parallel ports?

Is there are device to convert serial to USB (I know the other way round is possible)?

System is running Win98SE and not powerful enough to take anything stronger.

Networking via serial or parallel pot?
use have only one method as

1. buy cable that both side of cable have same serial port.

2 next, install program like laplink ---%26gt; search on google web

3. after install the program both computers

4. connect 2 computers with cable on item 1

5. open laplink program of both computer

6. the computer ready to peer to peer

( if you can not use this program ----%26gt; search on google web )

" Howto laplink "
Reply:A ISA network card is be the best solution. If you can't find one use a serial to serial null modem cable.
