Networking?

i hooked up a router to my main computer in the bedroom so i could access the internet from the computer in my living room. so how do i print to the computer in the bedroom from the livingroom.

Networking?
From the open document in the living room computer, select Print from the File menu which should bring up a dialog box with a list showing printers connected to the network. If you don't see the printer in the list, click the Search button and search 'My Network' for the printer. Make sure the bedroom computer and printer is on.
Reply:Did you share the printer? Find the printer icon on the computer that the printer is connected to. Right click and scroll down to "Sharing". Make share the printer is shared. On the other computer that the printer is not connected to, Add printer and be sure to add it as a "Network" printer. This should get you closer to your goal.

GoodLuck.
Reply:There are lots of aspects to this question. Depending on your operating systems (on both computers), the type of router you're using, the type of operations you want to do, there could be a great number of things you would have to do to print to the other computer.

Here are some websites to get you started, though:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using...

http://www.netgear.co.uk/home_networking...

Additionally, many routers either come with software to help create a home network, or they provide information on how to do so on their site.
Reply:1. Share the printer. (Select - List in the directory.)

2. From the second pc, open the first pc through network.

You will be able to see the shared printer.

Double click to install the printer. If both computers are using XP, it wont ask for the drivers.

Thats it .....u r ready for a print out.
