it si possible in my office network that all pc have directly connect to internet( without server)? if yes, how?
Networking?
Define "directly connect". If you mean a line direct to the internet from each computer, then yes; but you'll have to have a separate dls/cable/modem connection for each computer.
If you mean a way for all to connect to the internet through a single connection, then yes. Just install a router with enough ports to connect all your PCs.
If you mean a way for each to have their own public IP address, then yes again. Either use the first solution above, or get a string of IP addresses from your provider, and translate to each separate PC on your router to the second.
Reply:yes.
but IMO that is not a good idea. you'll need to have a dial up or dsl connection for each computer
might i suggest using a router or gateway to share a single connection.
Reply:You'll need a router, it works like a server but its just a little dumb box that isn't expensive like a server, you plug the internet connection into a port and all the PCs into the other set of ports. Depending on how many PCs you have you may be able to use a cheap consumer router like a linksys etc, most have 4 ports, you could also use a router and a hub or switch to expand, 8 port hubs and switches are pretty cheap.
Reply:They can not directly connect, unless you use dial-up connections on each. Very slow and very expensive. You do not need a server to get a connection they can share, you can order broadband and a router. The router will have between 1 to 5 ports. Buy a network switch, they are quite cheap. connect the switch to the router and the computers to the switch. Choose a switch with enough ports for all the machines you have plus at least 1 for the router. If you want to use network printers add some ports for this before you buy. If the router has more than 1 port, the others should be reserved for later additions. You will need 1 CAT 5 patch cable for each machine, and all the machines will need network cards, but most PCs now have cards on board.
