I am studying for my A.S. in netwroking systems administration, is there a Bachelor's in networking? And are there any certifications that I can get to help my career?
Networking?
There are many different BS degree in this field. As far as certifications I would look into the A+ and then the Net+ they are both from compTIA. Then you may want to move on to other areas.
Reply:I would seriously look at the MCSE certification track and the CCNA/CCNP track from Cisco. Network+ is good to get a basic and core understanding. CCNA's and CCNP's are in high demand in certain markets. Combine that with an MCSE or security cert, you will be highly marketable. Right now, my work competes for me on a constant basis. All I have is an associates deg, but I have an MCSE+M, A+, Net+, and CCNA, and CCNP. I bet I receive at least 10 offers a year. Fortunately my work likes me enough they feel they need to up the ante every year in order to keep me.
